Shipping
Fresh coffee takes a few days. Here's the honest math.
What you'll pay
Free U.S. shipping on orders over $50.
Under $50, shipping is a flat $8 anywhere in the continental United States.
Two bags of coffee almost always clears the free-shipping threshold, so the easiest way to skip shipping costs is to stock up.
When you'll get it
Every Tide & Bean order is roasted after you place it. We don't ship from a warehouse of pre-roasted bags — we make each order specifically for you, on the day it goes in the box. That's the only way to guarantee the coffee in your cup is genuinely fresh.
The result is a delivery window that breaks down like this:
- Roasting and processing: 2–5 business days after you order
- Shipping in transit: 1–5 business days, depending on distance
- Total typical time: about 5 business days from order to doorstep, sometimes up to 10 during holidays or product launches
You'll get a tracking number when your order ships. Until then, the order is in the roasting queue — not lost, not delayed, just becoming the coffee you ordered.
How it ships
We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx, choosing whichever carrier and service makes the most sense for your specific package and destination. Most orders ship USPS or UPS Ground.
We don't offer expedited or overnight shipping. We've thought about it carefully and concluded that the speed gain isn't worth the false expectation: you'd pay more to skip a couple days of shipping while still waiting on the roast. We'd rather price honestly and let the freshness do the work.
Where we ship
All 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
International shipping is on our roadmap but isn't live yet. If you're outside the U.S. and want to know when international launches, the newsletter at the bottom of every page is the way to be the first to hear.
Tracking your order
You'll get an email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Click the link to see real-time updates from the carrier. If a tracking number shows “pre-shipment” or “label created,” that's normal — it means the label is printed but the package hasn't been picked up by the carrier yet. Within a business day, it'll move.
If your tracking hasn't updated after 3 business days, email us and we'll look into it.
Lost or delayed packages
Carriers occasionally misroute or delay packages, especially around holidays. If your tracking has been stuck for more than 7 business days, contact us at ketan.patel@tideandbean.coffee with your order number and we'll work with the carrier to find it or send a replacement.
Need to change an order
Orders enter the roasting queue within minutes of being placed, and once they're in production we can't modify them. If you need to change a coffee, address, or quantity, email us at ketan.patel@tideandbean.coffee as soon as possible — the sooner the better. We'll do what we can.
